This nude, like most of my work, has been elevated from a page of my sketchbook. A quick linear drawing distorted and manipulated, the effects further amplified at this miniature scale.
 
Charlotte Houlihan is an expressive figurative painter whose work is defined by playful exploration of colour and lusciousness of paint. She is a mother to two children in a neurodivergent household where she juggles her roles as artist, tutor and primary carer. She was awarded the 24/25 NEAC Scholarship.
