After seeing Las Meninas at the Prado, I wanted to express something of the awe I felt. I made a large monoprint with the Infanta figure dressed in scarlett. This small work is more subdued but I hope it conveys something of the bustle and mystery of what is going on beyond her.
 
Helen’s work is informed by her theatre background. She specialises in experimental printmaking, especially etching, monoprint and woodcut. Exhibitions include Woolwich Contemporary Print Fair (2021-24) The Master’s Etching curated by Norman Ackroyd, and this year’s RA Summer Exhibition.
