Using an experimental process with recycled waste materials, I build and erode layered surfaces that evoke alien, organic terrains. At this small scale, the work invites an intimate, tactile encounter.
Philip Elbourne is a London-based artist whose work explores the symbolic weight of overlooked or peripheral objects and experiences. Through attentive observation and sensitive representation, his paintings are meditations on perception, materiality, and the shifting nature of meaning.
