'Relic 1-Girl in a painting' is a fun play with oversize and undersize. I made the frame by covering it with canvas and thick layers of metallic paint to create the gilded pattern. The tiny mother and child painting is a nod to the symbol of Madonna and child. 

Jessica Brox is an artist and poet  born in California, she studied fine arts at CalStateFullerton, CA. Her studio is based in St. Leonards, East Sussex. Primarily working in oil paint, she uses the female figure to explore themes of identity and emotion and to reflect the current world.
