Blue Tit in the Dementia Garden

One afternoon when caring for my father, a fledgling blue tit flopped out of the bird house. Hopping and flapping around, it found the edge of the bird bath, then plopped into the water. I scooped it out, patting it dry. End of life care and start of life care.
I’m a painter who makes work in response to external stimuli, whether that be visual, written or aural. Figurative and abstract works hold equal sway, and motifs are regularly returned to as they often have a personal or emotional connection.
