By working on a small scale with watercolour I am able to achieve patternistic mark-making in a more concentrated way. I can blur the boundary between the figurative and abstract as form becomes a patchwork of shape and colour.
 
Hannah Ferreira-Allen is a Bradford-based artist. Originally from Trinidad, her paintings explore the complex relationship to the landscape of her birth. She is an MFA graduate of Oxford University's Ruskin School of Art.
