In these miniature landscapes, the challenge was to create a feeling of expansiveness with the same gestural mark making as my larger works. Despite their small scale each piece is rich with texture and light and a meditative sense of place.
 
Mary West is a London-based painter whose abstracted landscapes explore themes of nature, memory and perception. A graduate of the Slade, she exhibits both in the UK and internationally.
