A miniature oil pastel on a fragment of an earlier acrylic painting. A work in which image making was secondary and the composition was generated by spontaneous mark-making and colour and yet turned out to have something of the feel of lazy, hazy heat on a summer’s day.  
 
Min Angel is a London-based painter concerned with touch and mark making. She works between painting, drawing and objects, across figuration and abstraction, navigating between what is, what was and the maybe. She trained at Camberwell and the Slade in painting and sculpture and has a degree in History of Art from UCL. She co-founded the artists’ platform BLINK in 2021. Angel shows in the UK and Europe and recently in the USA.
