With ‘Caged Birds’ I wanted to create an image that would gain something with a small scale - going small makes the work feel more intimate, sadder almost.
 
Alice Carr is an Edinburgh based artist explore ideas of loneliness, and the boundaries between human and animal. Using bold colours and distorted forms, Alice works from imagination to create a sense of the absurd with a sense of playfulness.
