Inspired by an old family photo, and a nod to Italian sculptor Della Robbia, “Lullaby” captures the essence of the mother child relationship. Often idealised, this piece acknowledges both the weariness and profound tenderness of motherhood. Its miniature size enhancing the intimacy of the bond.
 
Caroline Piggott is based in the South of England. Working with clay and paint   she creates sculptural ceramics and portraits. She has exhibited at The Royal Academy of Art Summer Exhibition 2019, La Galleria Pall Mall in 2020 and was short listed for The Royal Arts Prize 2020.
