Here I am exploring ideas around the tactile experience of the painting as object - palm size. This work is a conversation in colour, a thought held, a note. The grids of the city are a catalyst for the painted object which becomes both doorway and archive. 
 
Ella Thumim is a visual artist based in London. Working mainly in drawing and oils with a focus on abstraction and colour, her process-led practice investigates the landscapes that surround us.  She explores how painting can hold time and reflect place - painting as thinking.
