Taking a cue from the small-scale and iridescent hues of devotional icon paintings, my own ‘icons’use fluorescent spray-paint to imbue my every day, observational drawings, with a sense of reverence. This transcribes part of Chris Ofili’s mural‘requiem’, which memorialises those lost to Grenfel, including British photographer Khadija Saye.
