'Venus 2' is painted onto metal — a surface of armour, pushed, dented, and marked, showing traces of pressure and touch. This is not an ideal beauty, but a body remade through failure, resilience and repair.
 
Charlotte graduated from the RCA where she studied Painting after a career in Television and Animation. She creates paintings on silk, metal, and textiles, often using cutting, stitching, and stuffing to distort the surfaces. Drawing on memory and the past, her work excavates  fragility, power and vulnerability .
