What you threw away, I loved.

Fragments, used-up paints, and debris. Peeled paint, the imprint from an improvised artist's palette, a take-away lid. Is this a painterly moss growing organically over a worn palette or a conscious amalgamation of 20 paintings distilled into miniature form? Throw away or loved memories of days spent painting?
Kate Jacob is a painter exploring the absence and presence of space and memory. Exhibiting across the UK, including The Graves Art Gallery, Sheffield. She is also a regular curator with Prosaic, a Sheffield-based Artists' collective. Press include The Guardian, Corridor 8, and The Yorkshire Post.
