A Crumpled Piece of Paper

The grey ball of crumpled paper, and card with a cerise painted ground caught my
eye in the studio when I began thinking of miniature options. The cerise would do
useful attention-seeking, compensating for being on a tiny scale, and the grey form
sits on it a little defiantly.

Matilda Bevan lives in Northumberland, and in 2024 exhibited in a solo show at the
Granary Gallery, Berwick-upon-Tweed. Collage is influential in her work – linking
elements together is what interests her.
